The first dish that represents Andong is Jjimdak
It is derived from the steamed chicken dish that was served
Whenever there was a happy event in Sadaebu(scholar-officials) houses in Andong,
Which was a wealthy city during the Joseon Dynasty
It uses soy sauce seasoning, and it is well-known with its sweet and spicy taste.
The second dish that represents Andong is the salt-seasoned mackerel
Since Andong was located in the inland, we had to apply salt for preservation
This traditional method passed down through generations, becoming a specialty of Andong
Third is the Andong Soju
This also came from a traditional way of brewing alcohol in the past
Which has been brought down through generations and now became a local specialty
